Hello swimmers in cyberspace! Welcome to the new DAMA Masters Swim Team blog. I hope you will enjoy reading the articles we will post, viewing the pictures of all the fun we have, and watching video of some swimming drills and events.
You might be thinking, "A DAMA blog - Why?"
Or, you're thinking, "Derek Parr started one of these 2 years ago, and no one really posted to it, so why are we doing this one?"
Blogs are a great way to communicate with a large group of people, without clogging up email inboxes, and the readers (you, the swimmers, I mean) can choose to read them at their leisure.
Top 3 reasons for this blog:
1.) To show the world (okay, maybe just the Triangle Area) just how COOL we are. We will accomplish this by posting blogs that have pictures, videos and descriptions of the little things we do everyday that make us special.
2.) To keep everyone updated on special events, competitions, socials or pool closures/time delays.
3.) Because many of Coach Andrea and Coach Danielle's coaching colleagues around the country are doing it, and we decided to hop on the blog wagon. Whee!
Currently, this blog will only be set up to allow Coach Andrea and Coach Danielle to post blog updates. However, if you (DAMA swimmer) want to post up a blog about your open water race report, pics from your quarry swim or a social outing, just email it to either Coach at our personal email addresses and we will post it ASAP.
You will see at least 1 blog post from each coach per week. So...with all that said, let's get on with the show!
